CHAIRMAN
Eric (37) completed his studies of law and economics in Paris. Since 2000 his advisory business has focused on the introduction of investment capital to high value global projects. He is the Chairman of Avenport Investment Corporation a private equity company, a board member of Bramer Bank and a former director of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. Eric is experienced in the global positioning of luxury brands and is applying his experience to the international vision and strategy of Sealegs.
Mark Broadley
DIRECTOR
Mark Broadley has an extensive career in the investment banking and private equity industry both in Europe and Asia where he worked with UBS, HSBC and NM Rothschild & Sons. He was formerly Chief Financial Officer of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Group and currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of L’Occitane International.
Chris Weir
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Chris Weir holds tertiary qualifications in law and management. He has had an extensive career throughout Asia and the Middle East in investment banking and fund management. Prior to returning to New Zealand in 2010, Chris was Managing Director of Hong Kong based Arabian Gulf Investments which was an investor in Asian private and public equity. He has recently been appointed to the board of St George's Cancer Care Institute in Christchurch.
Mike Beagley
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Mike is a career retailer with over 34 years retail experience. He is currently Managing Director of Rodd & Gunn New Zealand Limited and Rodd & Gunn Australia Limited. Having joined the company in 2000 and invested in a minority stake in 2001, he bought 100% of the Rodd & Gunn business in 2006. In 2008 he sold a minority stake in Rodd & Gunn. He is the former Managing Director of R. Hannah & Co Limited and led the turn around New Zealand’s largest specialty footwear retailer from 1996 to 2006. Prior to joining Hannahs he was Retail Director for one of Australia’s largest specialty retailers, Kinney Shoes Australia Limited. KSA was owned by Woolworth Corporation of America and Mike was responsible for sales, stores, buying and marketing across over 500 stores and 6 formats.
David Glen
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
David was previously with Southern Spars, another world leading New Zealand marine business, where he guided the growth and development of Southern Spars in New Zealand, Cape Town, Sri Lanka, USA and Denmark after its 2006 merger with Marten Spars. His experience in both product development and market development of premium marine products with short run manufacturing operations, will bring valuable skills and experience to Sealegs.
